Wow, Trick or Treat on Friday??? Is that right David? I'm not sure the Trailers of Terror can be up and running by then. Especially with some of the working crew coming from 2.5 hours away with some of the decorations. _________________ Michael Cochran

I agree. We dont have enough time to decorate friday night. We also put the car back in the trailer friday night. We would have to take it all down and put it back together for saturdays judging. And how many trick or treaters would we have on friday night. I think we would have more spectators on saturday. The public expects trick or treat on saturday _________________ mom suain purple mustang with pink flames |

Most of us have already been advertising for Pacemakers Halloween race as well as for a Saturday trick or treat as it has been in years past on Saturday. _________________ Michael Cochran

| Is this for real? You realize that there will be people showing up on Saturday thinking your doing trick or treat right? For one you should really post this on the main website and two the wife was looking forward to this and we won't be there Friday for sure. |

I'll take some of the heat over this, or the lack of it... Mike ask me about this last week. With the concern of kids trick or treating, and calling up classes we always worry about the safety of the little ones. That is why we normally stop racing for that hour or set amount of time. Mike's concern along with mine is the fact that it doesn't take long this time of year for the dew to settle and any heat that the track had to disappear quickly. So I agreed with Mike that Friday night might be better for trick or treat.
Obviously neither Mike or myself thought some of the above issues through. With that said PLEASE be prompt answering class calls this weekend and next to minimize the down time and hopefully keep the weather and cold at bay. |

Those are good points Rod. I've not been one to speak up about an event's schedule at the track, but I've always thought that a race such as this should be run like Indy where we run one or two rounds Saturday, then come 7:00 shut down the racing, do the Halloween stuff, (I'll put on as good a show for the track at our Trailers of Terror as possible for all comers ), maybe the track could have a big bonfire party, hog roast or something of that sort where all the grown ups can get together, shoot the breeze and whatnot, then pick back up on Sunday. I know the track typically does not do well on Sunday races, but I would think if it was a fallover from the night before the turnout would still be good for the last race of the season. Maybe food for thought next year??? Who knows. I just want what will be good for the track and have the best potential to bring lots of people, new or regulars in to the place that I love to be at. _________________ Michael Cochran

Why not start the whole race early in the morning instead of starting at
normal time that way by the time it is treat or trick majority of the race will be over and less to worry about, start time trials , at 10:00 and go on
the JRS race with the big cars half the time anyway . _________________ Miss you Ashleigh 1985-2011 |

| EXACTLY!!!! Total agreement with Steve! If Trick or Treat has to be on Saturday night, why not start the ALL big car classes and juniors together early in the day (9am) and have Trick or Treat after racing is finished! Like Steve said, lately the juniors have been running with the big cars anyways, so it can be done. In fact, with all the racing there is to get in this Saturday, we should be starting early this week, too! |

| I would have no problem with the programs starting earlier and from my conversations with Joe Jackson, I doubt that he would either. The issue becomes letting racers know. Regardless not my call, but will support either decision. At least at this point the forecast looks better for this weekend than it has in the last few! |

| How about handing out flyers this weekend with Halloween race info & qualifying times, like what has been done in the past. Also posting information here, on the PDP home page and Facebook will get info out to racers and "Halloweeners"! |

Jim, my loving wife created a flyer and we've already posted it to the Pacemakers facebook page as well as other racer's facebook pages. We can have some copies made up to distribute as well if you would like.

I absolutely agree. There is no reason this cant be done this year. Hand out flyers with all the info this weekend and post it all over the internet. Get started earlier is a great idra. Like rog said. The weather is going to be great. Lets get busy _________________ mom suain purple mustang with pink flames |
