Nick is the first two time winner of the Jegs Super Quick Series Shootout. Great job Nick. I'm sure brother Bill gets some credit as crew chief as well.

Thanks Allen. And congratulations on your back to back championship in an equally tough class at Pacemakers!
It was the best end to a very long year of solid qualifying at all of the Jeg's races that we could have asked for. And it was great to have some local racers there like you and Bill to share it with. And I cant say enough about how much fun it is running the series and traveling with my great freind Terry King and his family to some great and some less than great facilities to run this series. For anyone that does not follow the Jeg's series, they really do not know how difficult this class is! Qualifying at two of the races this year for the 32 car field was from 4.500 to 4.561! Most of the rest of the races were very similar. The competition not only in eliminations but quailifying is extrememly fierce. With several cars such as Terry and Mike king, Shorty Rader, Al Peavler and others being able to run a dead on 4.50 right off the trailer.
The consistency of our Diamond race cars prepared, Killer Rons alcohol fueled dragster was a big help in winning, and made my job a lot easier!
We really miss racing week in and week out here at home but the Jeg's series is a ton of fun. I can't thank NHRA and Jeg's enough for making this series available to us!

It was fun to watch also. I think I lit a fire under Jeremy York Saturday night, good for him to get a bad run out then. You had to like the way they rolled out the red carpet for you guys in the final, wish they would have done it again before the third round.

Below are the eight qualifers for the Shootout. The Shootout includes the top eight racers based on season long qualifiying.
Mike King, Nick Hamilton, Jim "Shorty" Rader, Norman Smith, Ken Story, Jeremiah Hall, Tony Virgilio and Bobby Small. Worth noting that four of the eight including the top three run a Killer Rons fuel system on alcohol.

When are you going back to a blower set up? They seem to be the hot setup in that series.

Can't say we haven't thought about it and haven't ruled it out for next year. Biggest problem is the time to get it dialed in for 4.50 runs. What we have is pretty easy to do that. But you never know...

Putting a new rear clip on mine, it will have a few extra inches between the shoulder hoop and the engine so it might be in my future.

Racetech is building the clip and Pat Martin will be installing it. I stripped the chassis down today, can't believe how much damage tire shake can do.
